SITUATION

Little Dowran Farm is only 1 ½ miles from St. Just, the most westerly town in Britain, which has excellent local facilities and services. The property is situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and just slightly south of an Unesco World Heritage Site which protects the 18th and 19th Century mining history and landscape of the area. The picturesque sandy beach at Sennen Cove, popular with families and surfers alike, is approximately 4 ½ miles distance. Land's End is about 5 ½ miles away with the airport being about 2 miles away and providing regular flights to the Isles of Scilly.

The harbour town of Penzance with its excellent maritime facilities, shops, supermarkets, schools, colleges and hospital is approximately 6 ½ miles away. The town has regular passenger ferry services to the Isles of Scilly as well as a mainline railway station with services to London Paddington.

St. Just has schools for all ages, excellent local shops including bakery, butchers, supermarket, pharmacy and Post Office. Cape Cornwall, one of only two natural Capes in Britain, has a popular golf and leisure club on the coast. St. Just has an active local community with excellent sporting facilities including rugby, football and cricket clubs and sports centre with badminton courts and gym. There is a Parish Church and Methodist Chapels and a broad mix of café's, restaurants and take-aways, art galleries and craft shops etc. Centred close to and around the "triangular" town square, there are two hotels and two public houses. All in all an extremely popular area due to the stunning rugged scenery and miles of spectacular coastline.
