BPS claims must now be lodged online.  All claimants, or those only seeking to trade Entitlements, will need to register.  Lodge & Thomas can assist you with this and we recommend this is done without delay.

We will be available each Wednesday at Truro Market from 12 noon or other days by appointment.

NEW BPS CUSTOMERS WELCOME

Basic Payment Scheme

Lodge & Thomas can provide you with a full and comprehensive Basic Payment Scheme service, including advice as to how this affects you and your holding.  Under BPS there are now incentives for New Entrants and Young Farmers.

We can undertake your Basic Payment Scheme application, which must now be done online, as well as the compulsory registrations of all existing and new businesses.  We can also help with making alterations to the land registered to your existing holding.

Basic Payment Entitlement Trading

We are now trading Entitlements for the 2017 Claim.  Please contact us whether you are buying or selling as we offer a complete brokering service. We recommend that any landowners with bare land should purchase Entitlements and we have various size blocks available - some with no VAT.

To All Producers

The former six week transfer period has now been removed and we understand that online transfers will be completed instantly right up until the 15th May deadline.

With regard to Cross Compliance Statutory Management Rules (SMRs), etc. these are now being further expanded and more introduced. The RPA will inform you of these via the usual booklets in due course.  In addition to the compulsory mapping of your holding, you will also be required to map all water features, streams, ditches, etc. and identify land within 10 metres of them.   Lodge & Thomas can assist you with this.

Producers requiring specific advice relating to transfers or this year's application should not hesitate to take professional advice. If you have any questions arising from the above or you are looking to seek specific professional advice please do not hesitate to contact Bob Mosley, Tim Ryland, Ed Harris or Ross Collins on 01872 272722.
